The studio
A jersey,
for the street.
Miss Maillot began with a simple irritation: beautiful football jerseys, made to be worn four times a year. We started embroidering them by hand — floral, gold, Moroccan red and green — so they could be worn the rest of the year.

How it started
The first jersey was a gift. A friend wanted the Morocco shirt, but not the one everybody owned. We stitched a blossom branch across the chest, and people started asking where to buy it. So we made forty.
Every piece since has been worked the same way: thread by thread, on the machine, in runs of forty. When the forty are gone, the design retires. We have never rerun one.
What we hold to
01
Forty, then stop
Closed editions keep the work honest. No mass runs, no reprints, no second colourway when a design sells out.
02
Thread over print
Printing is faster and cheaper. Embroidery lasts longer, feels better in the hand and looks better with age.
03
Made to be worn
No stadium required. These are meant for Tuesdays, weddings and the walk home — not for a wardrobe.

Three jerseys remain in Edition № 04.
